Commissions splits for seller, site owner + affiliates.

I can't seem to find how the percentage splits work any where in the documentation, more specifically how does the affiliates percentage fit in. Is it taken out of the sale price, ie the commission percentages for the seller, site owner and affiliates should add up to 100%. Or is the affiliates commission taken out of the site owners commission.

As I am setting a up new stock library open to other photographers I would like to get a clear understanding of how the credit system works, or how the percentages should work within the system.

If anyone could offer some enlightenment it would be greatly appreciated.

Assume:

Affiliate "A1" refered buyer "B" to the site.
Affiliate "A2" refered Seller "S" to the site.
The seller "S" uploaded a photo with price = X.
The buyer "B" purchased the photo with price = X.

Admin panel -> Settings -> Seller categories
Commission for the sellers = COM1 %

Admin panel -> Affiliates -> Settings
Commission for the "buyer signup" = COM2%
Commission for the "seller signup" = COM3%

Result:
The commission of seller "S" = price X * COM1 / 100
The commission of affiliate "A1" = price X * COM2 / 100
The commission of affiliate "A2" = price X * COM3 / 100

The site owner's earning = price X * (100 - COM1 - COM2 - COM3) /100

Regarding the provided example, let's say priceX = $100
Com1= 50%
Com2= 10%
Com3= 10%

Now let me see if I got this right.

Earnings as followed:

Site owner gets $30
Image submitter gets $50 this is 50% of image price
A1 gets $10 this is a 10% of image price
A2 gets $10 this is a 10% of image price


Is this correct? If not please explain using same value example.

Commissions partners can they be bound by time? For example, 15% for the first two years after registration per referral.

No there isn't any bound.

You can only change their commission to 0 manually here:
Admin panel - >Users - >Customers
