create or modify component for homepage

I would like to modify or create a component. I would like to modify the photos-big thumbs to be more like a jquery cycle.

You can edit directly the file:
/templates/template[n]/home.tpl

or the scripts:
/members/component.php
/members/component_light.php

or the scripts:
/members/component.php
/members/component_light.php

I have been modifying the home.tpl. I can not find where it is doing the sql querry and making the script on the component.php or component_light.php file...

The script /members/component_light.php shows photos on the home page.

Here you can specify different photo sets:
Admin panel -> templates -> Home page

Think I figured it out and seems to be working!!!!

Had to modify component.php file, lines 150 - 250...
