SSL Certificate HTTPS

I would like to use SSL certificate on my website to make more it more secure.
How I can set the website to redirect traffic to https:// after click [Shopping Cart]
If option like that exist please let me know where/or how I can set it up.

The script doesn't use SSL because the buyers are redirected to the gateways sites for the payment. The sites has SSL.

I know that already, but I would like to set SSL connection for user when he change password or he login in to the website, edit his account information..., thats I would like to change link from http to https. Could you help me where I should look for?
