We don't have own hosting service (and not to plan to have in future) we only recommend hostings which we use ourselves:

Hi,
Agree with Anton. I've tried several hosting company and my two conclusion is:
- Hostmonster is the best for this script
- other.... good if you don't want to sell anything that will use high php resource. I've tried one script that sell e-book, and the script runs fine on the 'regular' hosting. The script only need to process small image (600px) and small size of e-book file. If I have a big file for sale, I'll upload it via ftp and overwrite the existing small file.
Recommendation:
Bring your photostock business to the NEXT level. Must have!

Hi everyone

I must say I'm a little concerned with my hosting at present. I am with HM Host Monster, paid up for a year, but now I have just learned that they just cut your account if you concurrent connections are 50 or more.

What makes matters worse is I learned from them that the moment your site draws too much resources they will, without warning suspend or even delete you site. Wow now that's not good news!

Now I am hoping that my site would grow to more than 50 concurrent connections, so what I am trying to say is, if you know you are going to have more than 50 concurrent users on your site, I would strongly suggest a VPS as shared hosting will not do the job.

Having said that, I am in the process of looking around for some good reliable VPS Hosting providers, so if anyone can recommend one, that'll be great!

BTW, now I am going to have to transfer my whole site to another Server, and have no idea where to begin...what a great challenge!

Thanks
Kind regards
Mark

Of course the dedicated server is much better than shared hosting.
VPS is better than the shared hosting.
Dedicated server is better than VPS.

But are you ready to pay for the dedicated server?
The shared hosting is much cheaper. You should find the golden mean.

Any shared hosting has limitations because they must have hundreds of the sites per server. But some companies restrict everything - other ones offers quite comfortable conditions. You never have to believe "Unlimited" words.
I think HostMonster/Bluehost is one of the best shared hostings at the moment. But they are probably worse than the cheapest dedicated server.

P.S. we can migrate your site to a new server for free.

Hi Anton

Thank you for you great advice, so what I am understanding is, it would be better for me to remain where I am at the moment untill the site grows a little, and then when I realise that it is getting quite a lot of visitors, then look for a VPS or dedicated hosting provider?

BTW, you say that you offer free migration to another server, is that any server? That's great to know, so if in the future I need to transfer it, you will be able to help me?

I appreciate your help and assistance.

Thank you
Kind regards
Mark

Yes you are right.

The migration process is quite easy. You have to:
1) download all files from an old server by ftp
2) upload the files to a new server by ftp
3) create a mysql dump on the old server
4) create a new mysql database and import the mysql dump on the new server
3) edit /admin/function/db.php file with the new server's details on the new server
