File name go to title instead of description field

Currently when you FTP up a bunch of images the file name goes to the description field instead of the title field. Can I change this default somewhere in the code so the file name goes to title field?

The script reads IPTC info. The title goes to 'title' field, 'description' to 'description', 'keywords' to 'keywords'. You can check the IPTC in a photo editor, for example Photoshop -> File info.

I have done this by changing the IPTC in a batch of images via Adobe Bridge. For some reason when I go to batch upload to the site, all the meta data, such as the description and keywords go to the correct fields, but not the title?

Also the data must be in utf-8 encode.
