all html extension

why are all the html file extension brining error instead of page link to another page. /pages/about.html is not linking.
please help.

You can create a new page here:
Admin panel - > Text pages -> Site info

The page will have the url:
/pages/[page title].html
or
/pages/[page ID].html

If the title has empty spaces then the url will be:
/pages/part1-part2-part3.html

if the title contains non-latin or other special symbols then the url can be only on ID basis:
/pages/[page ID].html

i have done as you said but am getting empty pages /pages/about.html

are you saying i should delete the about page that came wiht your software and create another one.
please tell what do do.

The link will work always:
/pages/[page ID].html

(if you installed the script into a subfolder then the link will be: /subfolder/pages/[page ID].html)

You should go here: Admin panel -> Text pages -> Site info and find ID of 'about' page.

Top/Bottom navigation can be modified here with the correct links:
Admin panel -> Templates -> Top/Bottom navigation

this are the id of the about us page which came with your ssystem.
4035 for siteinfo
4016 for top navigation
4020 for bottom navigation
what do i do, should i change them and where do i change them.
other links to like catalog/4728.html are giving me 404 - File or directory not found.

There are several text pages. Each text pages has own id. This is a left column.

/pages/4728.html - this is correct

i still get errors from all html extensions, can i turn all to php and how please.

the reason why those pages don't show is because the /pages/ folder does not exit in the server. or can u tell me where to locate the /pages/ folder.
